The Committee on Parastatal Bodies has concluded its verification tour across Lusaka, Central, Luapula, and Copperbelt Provinces, an exercise crucial to ensuring parastatal institutions are operating with efficiency, transparency, and integrity.
With findings in hand, the Committee has finalised its report, which will soon be presented to the National Assembly and the Right Honourable Madam Speaker.
Representing Committee Chairperson Hon. Chitalu Chilufya, Namwala MP Hon. Moono Mapani noted that their oversight work premised on Reports of the Auditor General is about strengthening accountability and improving service delivery for the benefit of all Zambians.
And reflecting on Labour Day Hon. Mapani emphasised the need to remain committed to institutional reform and better governance as the country honours the workers who keep public enterprises running.
