Planning and Research Directorate

The Directorate of Planning and Research is responsible for planning and coordinating the formulation, review and implementation of policies, budgets, and programmes within the Office.

It also oversees monitoring and evaluation processes to ensure the effective implementation of programmes and projects, with the goal of supporting timely and appropriate interventions.

In addition, the Directorate is responsible for research development and technical cooperation activities, providing support to the Audit Division to enhance audit services. The Directorate is headed by a Director, who is supported by a Chief Planner. The Directorate is divided into two (2) sections, namely:

  • Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, and Research Development
  • Projects and Technical Cooperation

This structure ensures a comprehensive approach to planning, research, and evaluation activities, contributing to the strategic objectives and overall effectiveness of the Office.

Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, and Research Development

This section is responsibility for planning and research development in order to facilitate the implementation of institutional programmes and informed decision making. The section is also responsible for coordinating parliamentary business in order to facilitate accountability to the legislature.

The Section is headed by a Principal Planner, who is supported by one (1) Senior Planner, one (1) Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, two (2) Planners and a Librarian.

Projects and Technical Cooperation Unit

The Section is tasked with the coordination of local, bilateral, and multilateral programmes to ensure their smooth implementation. The Section is headed by a Principal Planner, who is supported by a Senior Planner and a Planner.
