ICT resources are provided to improve and enhance the management of the audit processes in an effective and efficient manner. Using information technology, accessing information, and communicating electronically can be cost-effective, timely and efficient. Users are expected to use and manage these resources in an appropriate manner and in accordance with this policy. In order to ensure that staff adhere to the requirements and guidelines contained in this document, the Information and Communication Technology Unit will ensure that:
  1. users will be provided access to this policy,
  2. users will be reminded of the need for compliance with the policy, and
  • users will be provided notification of updates or developments to the policy.
This policy will be reviewed every year. Earlier review may be required in response to exceptional circumstances, organisational change or relevant changes in legislation or guidance. Any exceptions to this policy must be authorised by top management. Breaches will be investigated and may result in the matter being treated as a disciplinary offence under the Disciplinary Procedures.
